Laura Velez is a junior at UNC Charlotte, where she is working to graduate with two majors in Exercise Science and Dance. Laura is trained in an array of dance genres and codifications, including Modern Dance, Ballet, Jazz, and Puerto Rican Folklore. This diverse background and additional athletic training background allows for Laura to share the importance of why we move the way we do, and how to efficiently execute said movements. It is vital for her to create a space where her students feel safe, empowered, and challenged to better themselves as artists and people.
